We actively listened and are currently pulling together a draft strategy based on the responses recorded from:
- Service Provider Consultations
- Community Survey
- Community Consultations
- Ageing Roundtable with key stakeholders
- Council staff workshop to develop a ‘whole of council approach’
Our next steps:
- Further develop Council actions particularly longer term action and performance measures
- Consult with relevant Council business areas and external partners to ensure support
- Finalise draft Strategy document
- Seek Council approval to place on public exhibition

Following analysis of the survey responses, our Ageing Project Officer has now prepared a Discussion Paper. The paper summarised the responses to the survey and identifies areas which need to be explored during the upcoming workshops.
You can find the Discussion Paper in the document library.
If you haven't already done so, please join us at one of the workshops so you can help guide the development of a Draft Positive Ageing Strategy.
